Meet Our Chef - Bill Pierce
A native of Waterford, Conn, Bill began his culinary trek at an early age as he enrolled in his local culinary technical high school. Upon graduation Bill was accepted into the Johnson & Wales University Culinary School in Providence, Rhode Island. Completing his course work and earning his degree Bill began his professional career as the Fine Dining Head Chef of the Georgia and Verana Rooms at Callaway Gardens during the early 1980's. From Callaway Gardens he then took the Head Chef position at the Big Eddy Club at Green Island Country Club. As the Head Chef Bill was in charge of all catering, dining and staff management for the club during his 18 year tenure. Bill left the Big Eddy Club in 2002 and has since spent time with the Macon City Club, the Brickyard Golf Club and most recently at Veranda Assisted Living here in Columbus. Bill holds both his Servsafe certification and Management Clubs of America certification.
