  The pricier restaurants may be a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions but for breakfast with friends, a casual lunch, or a quick dinner, every town needs a restaurant with dependable friendly service, reasonable prices, and great tasting food, and Cafe Jose is the place. 

  As a local for 27 years, I have seen plenty of places come and go but Cafe Jose at the Village is the Best Kept Secret in the Verde Valley.  My wife and I recommend it without reservation.

  Had a great breakfast at this small family run cafe which is directly behind the Hilton Sedona. Large menu, with many items to choose from and very friendly staff. Two can easily eat here for $15.00 and leave full.

  Coming from the UK, somewhere like Cafe Jose is kind of different to eat at, whilst for many Americans it might be just another cafe. 

  We loved it though and had a really hearty early morning breakfast before a day's hiking and then a late night dinner when everything else was closed. really good value for money, friendly staff and great menu including lots of Mexican and American classics as well as good range of dishes for veggies and daily specials. Not for a candlelit dinner but great for everyday dining and I think this is where the locals eat.

  We stumbled upon this little cafe near our hotel in Village of Oak Creek at the Hilton Suites. We couldn't believe the variety of food! Two of us had breakfast--served all day--one had Fettucinni Alfredo and one of us got a delicious Vegetarian taco salad. 
   
  They serve "home-cooked" American meals as well. The quality of the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and fast. If you want excellent food at a reasonable price in Sedona, you can't miss at Cafe Jose in the Village of Oak Creek.
