New Features For Your Restaurant's Web Site
October 15, 2008
We've added some new features this week:
Our new Pages feature allows you to create custom web pages that don't fit the available page options (restaurant reviews, coupons, menus, etc.). You can now create pages on your restaurant's website for catering, large party information, general notices, and just about anything else you need. We have migrated all current 'About Us' and 'Bonus' pages into this new format.
With the new Links feature, you can create links to external sites in the main navigation of your restaurant's site. This makes it easy to seamlessly connect your LetsEat.at restaurant website to other sites such as your restaurant's page on Yelp, Myspace, or other web based services.
Alternately, you can post the links to a Links page on your website by not checking the 'Navigation?' checkbox. This will create a page of links for your visitors to see (for example, if your restaurant is in a hotel, you could post a link to the hotel's webpage).
One last thing to mention is that we have turned Google Maps off by default. Some addresses just don't work properly, and as a result, it was decided that the best thing to do is to make this an optional feature for each site. On the plus side, it is now available for restaurants based outside of the United States. To turn your Google Maps on, go to My Restaurant » Directions and check the box.
