Creating an online menu for your restaurant

1. Go to the Menus page by clicking on Menus in the main navigation.

2. Click New menu.

3. Enter a title and description for your menu. The title might be something like 'Breakfast' whereas the description should describe the menu or what each dish comes with, i.e. 'All meals come with your choice of toast or a muffin' or 'We use only the finest locally-grown produce and organic free-range eggs'. Click Save! when you're finished.

4. Under Your Menus:, select the menu you just created.

5. Click New item to create an item for this menu.

6. Enter any information about this item. Check or select anything that relates to your dish. If you only want this item appearing during a certain day of the week, select the pulldown or checkbox that relates to it. Click Save!.

Changing the order of your restaurant's menus.

1. Click on Menus in the main navigation and select Change order.

2. Click your cursor on an item and while still holding down the mouse button, drag the item into its new position in the order. Repeat until you have your menu is in your desired order and then click Done!. Note: It may take a second or two for the changes to take effect in our database. Please wait for a moment after you finish reordering before exiting the page to ensure that the changes have been saved correctly.

Creating specials for your restaurant menu

If you assign a menu item as a 'special', it will only appear on your restaurant's website during those days of the week. For instance, if you have weekend breakfast specials, you can set them to only show up on weekends by doing the following:

1. Create a menu item.

2. Select the dropdown where it says Special?

3. Assign it to the desired day or days of the week.

4. Save!

Importing menu items from a CSV

For your convenience, you can upload a spreadsheet of menu items exported from OpenOffice, Microsoft Excel, or other spreadsheet software as a .csv text file. To create a .csv file in OpenOffice or Excel, simply go to Save As… and select .csv from the drop down menu.

Please set each row of the spreadsheet as follows:
Column #1 - Menu Item Title | Column #2 - Description | Column #3 - Price (additional prices must be added manually)

In your LetsEat.at at restaurant console:

1. Create and save a new menu from the Menus page.
