    cooking with the whineaux

Jean Pierre's is a new family run restaurant that takes great pride in serving quality food and offering exceptional guest service.  French food is difficult to find in Florida as the American palette seems to fight against the quality of the French cooking.  Sadly,  Jean Pierre has already removed the buckwheat crepes from the menu because people complained that they weren't what they expected (meaning they were not sweet).  He's also had to adapt the style of service.  In his native France serving you lunch and bringing the check in under an hour would be an egregious offense, you may as well go to McDonald's however in the states we expect to eat and get out

    Celebration Independant

They say that talented people who truly love to cook don't use cookbooks or recipes.  The owner and chef of one of Celebration's newest restaurants, Jean Pierre, is certainly evidence of that belief.  His French Bistro and Bakery brings another unique dining alternative to Celebration and other area residents.

"I grew up in the kitchen, " said Jean Pierre, "and my mother taught me not only how to cook, but also a love of cooking.  I don't have a single cookbook or recipe card.  I simply remember how my mother cooked - the ingredients, the amounts, and the process - from the way she cut the vegetables to the way she sautéed the meat.  And I've added many of my own dishes over the years."
